Based on the classic tale by Hans Christian Andersen, Disney's The Little Mermaid tells the story of Ariel, a mermaid princess who dreams of the surface world and the humans who inhabit it. After falling in love with Eric, a human prince, she makes a deal with Ursula the sea witch that grants her human legs in exchange for her voice as well as her very soul.
